Was feeling a little home sick and a little nostalgic​, and when that happens I usually get pretty patriotic.

 

Luckily that usually manifests into something soft and gentle like South Africa's flora. Although the King Protea is the actual national flower, I'm in love with every single protea variation. They have the perfect balance of dry highveld textures, lush mountain colours, and ocean juiciness.
