GINGHAM DAZE

For the love of picnics, summer and all things gingham.

There’s something so nostalgic and playful about this checkered fabric that always makes me want to run through fields and live on a diet of watermelon and orange juice.

After some deep digging, I found this stretch gingham in between the many fabric rolls at Fiona's Fabrics in Johannesburg. The old and fragile pattern I used had clearly already been passed through many hands, and even needed some extra alterations and additions for the right fit.
